Wood Haven Inc. is a speciality lumber distributor and manufacturer located in the heart of the Midwest in Perry, Kansas.

 
When we started selling hardwood decking a few years ago, we also started selling hidden fasteners to go along with the wood. Customers complained not only about the cost but the slow installation time of plastic hidden fasteners.

 
Two things were readily apparent:

1. Plastic fasteners were time consuming and sometimes frustrating to install and didn't hold as tight as we wanted.
2. Metal alternatives were too expensive and/or required you to work from below the deck.

 
Which led us to The Deck Clip. We spent a year trying different materials and designs to come up with a metal hidden fastener that is easier to install, holds the decking very tight, and doesn't cost a fortune. One year, and a whole bunch of prototypes and testing later, and we solved those problems with The Deck Clip.
